The Princess and the Pea

The story tells of a prince who wants to marry a princess, but is having difficulty finding a suitable wife. One stormy night a young woman drenched with rain seeks shelter in the prince's castle. She claims to be a princess, so the prince decides to test their unexpected, unwitting guest by placing a pea in the bed she is offered for the night, covered by 20 mattresses and 20 feather-beds. In the morning, the guest tells her hosts that she endured a sleepless night, kept awake by something hard in the bed that she is certain has bruised her. The prince rejoices. Only a real princess would have the sensitivity to feel a pea through such a quantity of bedding, so the two are married.

Egyptian Adventure

I read Egyptian Adventure today, and that's one of famous series, Oxford Reading Tree. Nadim's model book leads to an adventure in Ancient Egypt. Floopy is mistaken for an important dog, and the children have to help make a pyramid. Children go to ancient Egypt and they adventure there.
Today I read The Old Woman who lived in a shoe, a level 2 book in the Usborne First Reading series. It's written by Russell Punter, and a story about one old woman who lived in a shoe. It's no fun living in a shoe when you have as many as this old woman. She needs to find a bigger homeーand fast.

The bear's mouth

The bear's mouth I read a book, titled The Bear's Mouth, today. It is set in modern times. The story's purpose seems to teach the importance of the cooperation in the team. I introduce the story content. Some boys and girls try to get several flags in the forest and they are separated to some team. The winner is the first team to get more flags than any other team. The boys and girls in Green team are main characters in this story, and people in Red team are their enemy. There are many traps in the forest and the game's key is '' The bear's mouth.'' Can Green team get won??
